About Me

I am Ayub Dwi Pranata Junus, an Indonesian entrepreneur with a diverse logistics, transportation, and diplomacy background. Originally from Manado, North Sulawesi, I ventured to London at 21 to pursue higher education.

I hold a professional diploma from Central London College and a Postgraduate Diploma in Port and Shipping Administration from Cardiff University. I furthered my studies at the University of Plymouth, earning a Master of Science in International Shipping. I am a chartered member of the UK's Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport.

I am working towards a doctoral degree in the School of Strategic and Global Studies at the University of Indonesia, to be completed by Q3 2024.

In addition to my academic pursuits, I am an entrepreneur interested in various sectors under PT. Junus Internasional, including ship & port services, logistics, travel, VIP protection, trade, and IT. I collaborate with Bernhard Schulte Group to expand their presence in Indonesia.

Since December 2007, I have served as Honorary Consul for the Republic of Latvia, initially holding the role and later being entrusted with greater responsibility as Honorary Consul-General in 2018. In this capacity, I handle consular matters in accordance with international conventions and local laws, covering almost all territories of Indonesia.

Importantly, my role extends to promoting bilateral development in the areas of economy, education, and culture between Latvia and Indonesia, fostering stronger ties and cooperation between the two nations. My dedication to diplomacy has earned me awards, including the Latvian Foreign Minister's Certificate of Merit and the Award of Merit from FICAC.

Beyond my professional life, I actively engage with my community. I chair the North Sulawesi Province Tourism Promotion Board (BPPD Sulut) and the Diakonia Foundation of the Protestant Church in Western Indonesia (GPIB). I also hold leadership roles in the European-Asian Chamber of Commerce (EACC), the World Federation of Consuls, and the Indonesian Christian Intellectual Association (PIKI).

As a Deacon of the Protestant Church in Western Indonesia (GPIB) and a family man residing in Jakarta, I draw inspiration from quotes like "Wisdom is Organized Life" (Immanuel Kant) and "Science is Organized Knowledge" (Herbert Spencer) to guide my passion for knowledge, organization, and beauty in all aspects of life.
